Community Rules
Community
Community Respect: All members of this community deserve respect. You should always be aware that whatever you say or do in-game and out-of-game, should not compromise others' ability to enjoy the game.
Languages: This is an English-speaking community. You must be able to competently communicate in English, both written and verbal.
Offensive Roleplay: You are not permitted to roleplay sexual, rape, harassment, racist, or extremely sensitive and morbid scenarios.
Offensive Language: Offensive is defined as anything that may offend someone due to personal values. Swearing is not offensive. Excessively swearing may be considered offensive. You may not use offensive, sensitive or racist language in any out-of-character community mediums. You cannot use any potentially offensive language in globally visible mediums either (Discord public chats, in-game chats).
Exception: You may use some offensive language in a local proximity (such as voice chat) for a roleplay scenario, however, it must conform with the above rule (see Offensive Roleplay).
A member of staff has the right to request the language being used during any scenario be generalized, if they believe the exception rule is being exploited.
Staff Decisions: Any decision made by a member of staff is final and non-negotiable. If you believe the decision was made in error, you may appeal it in the proper forum section. Any discussion, or arguing the issue in public chat mediums will result in disciplinary action.
Requesting a Staff Member: If you require a member of staff for any reason, please type !callstaff in Discord. It will ping a server moderator. Please do not tag staff members directly.
This includes attempting to directly contact the server owner. There is a chain of command. Contact a moderator and if need be, they will escalate the issue to an admin. Do not circumvent hierarchy of staff or you will face disciplinary action.
Staff Deceitfulness: Do not lie to a staff member about anything. This includes in-game issues, the forums, Discord or any other entities belonging or relating to LSNZ. This also includes intentionally misleading a staff member, or falsifying any evidence that may or may not be used in a dispute resolution.
Ban Circumvention: Do not attempt to circumvent a ban from the server or Discord. This includes changing your IP, or making alternative accounts. If you are caught doing so, you new IP/account will be banned without warning, and your original ban either extended, or made permanent without appeal.
If you wish to appeal your ban, you may do so by posting an appeal request in the relevant forum section. Any discussion of your ban in public mediums may lead to further disciplinary action or an automatic denial of your appeal.
Community Applications: You may only post one application per week. You may not post your application URL in chats asking for staff or commanders to view your application. This includes PM'ing and tagging the relevant people. Doing so, will result in an automatic 'push' of your application to the end of the queue. Further spam of your application will result in a denial of your application.
This also includes asking to be enlisted into departments or organizations. You are required to post an application in order to be considered for employment. Any harassment of people of authority or interest will result in a Discord removal.
Game Modifications: You are not permitted to use client-side modifications or any sort of modification that will give you an advantage, or adjust gameplay. This includes altering vehicle handling, trainers, plugins or third-party game additions.

Failure to comply will result in an instant kick.
Zoning: Below a list of zoning guidelines you must follow. Anyone found breaching these will get a kick as a warning, then a ban.

Fear Roleplay (FearRP): The act of conforming to actions based on the realistic concept of fear in any given situation.
You will breach this rule if you do any of, but not limited to the following:
Logic: Any scenario that would cause you to fear for your characters life, must be roleplayed accordingly.
Combat Logging (CL): The act of disconnecting from the server, during a roleplay or combat situation that could put others' at a disadvantageous position. If you crash or lose connection, you must reconnect as soon as possible, and inform the involved parties, and discuss whether you would like to continue where you left off.

Interaction Menus: If you have any form of interaction menu (F6) for your job, you must use it for its intended roleplay use. You may not use it for advantageous means (police cuffing someone whilst off-duty).
EMS Faction: EMS is a neutral faction. They may not be harmed in any way whilst on-duty (in uniform and responding to calls).
Anyone found breaching EMS neutrality will be automatically kicked. This rule is non-negotiable.
Accidental incidents will not carry the penalties outlined above.
Aircraft Usage and Licensing: You may not use any aircraft without a pilot's license or authorization otherwise. You will be kicked, and then banned on a second offense. This is to prevent traffic jams and potential RDM of crashed aircraft.
Personal Aircraft (COMING SOON): You may purchase aircraft from the aircraft dealer. You must have a pilots' licence before you may purchase aircraft. Any abuse of aircraft (such as ramming people/property causing mass explosions and RDM) will result in your aircraft being removed from your inventory. On your second offence, you will be removed from the server. This is non-negotiable.

Neutral Zones: Locations and nearby surrounding area that hostile or violent actions are not permitted (no shooting, ramming, fist fighting etc.). You may not seek asylum in a neutral zone during a non-peaceful scenario.
- All hospitals
- Inside all police departments. Outside is permitted through roleplay
- Vehicle Garages (Blue Garage Icon)
- LS Customs on Carcer Way (Mechanics' Depot)
Restricted Zones: Locations and nearby surrounding area that players may not enter under any circumstances.
- Fort Zancudo
- USS Luxington Aircraft Carrier
- Ground vehicles on Los Santos International Runway
Random Deathmatch (RDM): The act of killing another player for little, or no roleplay reason. Deliberately attempting to incite (bait) another player into a scenario that will escalate into a lethal confrontation is also in breach of this rule.
Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM): The act of using a vehicle to kill/abuse another player for little, or not roleplay reason. Deliberately attempting to incite (bait) another player into a scenario that will escalate into a vehicular confrontation is also in breach of this rule.
Fail Roleplay (FailRP): The act of breaching your in-game roleplaying. FailRP covers any in-game action that you/your character commits that is not possible.
You will breach this rule if you do any of, but not limited to the following:
- Roll your vehicle and use in-game mechanics (pressing 'A' or 'D' to roll the vehicle back over) and continue driving
- Ignore events that realistically would incur the death of the person or persons involved (high-speed crashes, falls, fires) regardless of your characters actual health. You may roleplay 'death' by using animations menu, and calling EMS, or whatever the situation may require.
- Using out-of-character chat (/ooc) whilst being roleplayed with (see chat section for chat rules).
- Failure to complete roleplay after and during death. This includes not relaying sensitive or situational information. After you have been revived, you may NOT participate in the roleplay situation if it is still on-going. You must move away from the immediate area and not get involved. You may watch it and you can become involved again once that scenario is over.
You will breach this rule if you do any of, but not limited to the following:
- Draw a weapon whilst being held at gunpoint by an officer. This includes facing away from an officer with a weapon drawn, and using in-game mechanics to turn your mouse 180 degrees and left click, giving the officer zero time to react.
- Attempting to evade police because you're afraid of a traffic fine.
If a member of staff removes the player from the server during the situation, the staff member must make sure that all involved parties can continue without being at a disadvantage.
New Life Roleplay (NLR): The act of dying and roleplaying a new life. When you die, should you get revived by EMS, you may retain memory of prior situations, but you may not directly involve yourself in the scenario you were killed partaking in, thus putting others' involved at an advantage or disadvantage.
Should you not get revived, and respawn at the hospital, you may not be involved in any prior RP. You have died, and are now playing as a new 'instance' of your character.
Further Information:
- EMS may not revive any person or persons that are killed as a direct outcome from a roleplay scenario, such as executing a hostage. This person must be await respawn and follow the NLR rule.
- Where instructed by EMS to accompany them back to the hospital due to serious injuries, you must do so.
Cop Baiting (CB): The act of deliberately seeking out police attention, or otherwise police involvement for no justifiable roleplay reason.
You will breach this rule if you do any of, but not limited to the following:
- Continually committing traffic offences in front of police entities (burnouts in front of the police station, intentional loss of traction near a police officer).
- Intentional and continual unnecessary involvement in police operations (walking up to a traffic stop several times asking whats going on, driving high-speed through a crime scene).
You may however, do something illegal to garner a police pursuit in front of a law enforcement officer. Should you evade police, you may not return and garner another pursuit within thirty minutes. You must realistically assume the police have an APB on you or your vehicle and therefore should not be doing illegal things in front of police again.
Logic: Any continual and intentional involvement in situations you're not part of, or garnering attention from police unnecessarily. You may however for example, do a burnout, and go on a police chase. However, if you get caught, you will be reprimanded accordingly through the normal police system. If you get away, you are not allowed to come back and do it again 30 seconds later.
Metagaming (MG): The act of combining in-character information, and out-of-character information for in-game advantage (switching channels in Discord to find out information about an in-game scenario, whilst being an off-duty police officer using the phone system to elude the police).

EMS Faction: EMS is a neutral faction. They may not be harmed in any way whilst on-duty (in uniform and responding to calls).
- You may not ram, kill, kidnap or interfere with EMS persons, properties and operations unless the EMS serviceperson in question is willing to RP out that situation.
- You may not arrest or convict EMS of any law infringement whilst they are on duty. Should they break any rules, you may detain them, and contact an admin immediately. If you attempt to reprimand them yourself, you may face disciplinary action.
- EMS may carry self-defense weapons. These are limited to a sidearm and a taser. If you collect a weapon unintentionally, please seek out your nearest police officer to turn in your weapons.

Police Aircraft: You may not steal police aircraft. The only persons authorized to utilize police aircraft are certified law enforcement pilots. To obtain a police pilot licence, you must complete pilot training by a certified police pilot. This rule is non-negotiable.
Mafia Faction (The Kray Family (KF)): The Kray Family are the officially recognized mafia for LSNZ. They are to be treated like any other civilian. However, there are some rules relating to their operations.
Further Information:
- The Kray Family property may not be entered by police officers without a warrant for entry, or if entering on official police business without being classified as a police operation, must be accompanied by an officer of high command.
- The Kray Family property may be entered by non-law enforcement persons without reason. However, the Kray Family have the right to defend their property. You will be warned, and escorted off the property. If you refuse, or cause any conflicts, you may be shot and killed. This will not be considered RDM.
- The Kray Family have the ability to fine businesses. These fines are listed as 'racketeering' fees. This is to roleplay the Kray Family having influence over businesses (paying for protection).
- The Kray Family may search you should the situation permit it. They may also confiscate weapons or items, but they must return them in full to the original owner. If this is not possible due to the mechanics of the inventory system, The Kray Family will need to compensate the person in full.
Bank Robberies: Bank robberies may only be committed once per hour. This is globally across the server, not per person or persons. Store robberies are exempt from this time restriction rule.
Further Information:
- If you are robbing the bank, you must make verbal or some form of communication with an officer on scene before you use any weapon. If you attempt to harm or kill an officer without communicating first, you will face disciplinary action.
- All players, including the responding law enforcement must not block the entrance to the buildings with a vehicle.
- Snipers may not be used during a bank robbery, unless the suspect doing the negotiations have notified the police they have one (to prevent miscommunication, toggle your voice status to 'shout' in-game. This is done via pressing 'Shift + H'. If a police officer is killed by a sniper without prior notification (typing in chat 'stay away we have a sniper' does not count as notifying the police), the sniper in question and involved parties will face disciplinary action. Furthermore, the misuse of a sniper rifle is discretionary by staff member present.
- All suspects must understand that police will likely take lethal action to save their lives, or the lives of anyone involved in the scenario (hostages).
- As a police officer, you are not allowed to rush into the building and kill people. You must relate to the 'FearRP' rule, and use proper police tactics to resolve the situation.
- Tear gas may be used by the SOG law enforcement group, however, you may only use a maximum of three (3) per person.
- A maximum of no more than four (4) people may be involved in a bank robbery. You may distribute your four people how you would like.
- A minimum of two (2) police officers must be on-duty before a robbery can be undertaken.
- You are forbidden to deposit any stolen money at the same bank, the robbery took place at. You must leave the bank, and deposit elsewhere or come back after a grace period.
Store Robberies: Store robberies follow the same rules as above, however they do not carry the time restriction rule. You may rob them as much as you would like.
Kidnappings/Hostage/Ransom Situations: You may only commit one of these events once per hour per group.
Further Information:
- An offender is permitted to ransom any given person they choose for a maximum of $30,000 in cash, bank account transfer or an equivalent value of assets. This must be done via an in-game roleplay medium. You may not use an out-of-game medium to ransom another player.
- An offender is not permitted to force their victim into selling, destroying or otherwise voiding their property or assets (vehicles, apartments).
- An offender may choose to execute their victim after the proceedings have been completed. This is completely within the rules, however, be aware that without your hostage, you have no leverage with law enforcement.
Weapon Storage: You may use your weapon menu at any time to draw a concealable weapon. A concealable weapon is anything considered small enough to be holstered and hidden (handgun, Micro-SMG).
You may not use the weapon menu freely to draw any weapon that does not fit the description above (pump-action shotgun, any form of assault or carbine rifle, most bigger melee weapons). In order to draw these, you must roleplay taking them out of a storage unit (trunk of your car, weapon box in your vehicle) with the use of /me command, then you may draw them with your weapon menu.
Due to the purpose of this rule, the in-game duffel bags are not considered a weapon storage unit. Anyone found using a duffel bag as a weapon storage unit will face disciplinary action.
